Hollywood Award shows are as much about the fashion as they are about the acting chops. The 67th Annual Primetime Emmys took place on Sunday. If you were on social media that day, you would have seen all the commentary, awards, news and gossip trending at #Emmys2015 .
We thought it would be fun to do a fashion round up Sisters Style. It also got us thinking, which TV actress would we most like to send a bottle of our Sisters Wine to, and which wine would we send her. So just for fun, here are our picks for some top fashion on the night matched with which wine we would send them, if we ever got the chance. Publicists, feel free to contact us. I’m sure we could sort them out with a bottle or two!
Tatiana Maslany In Bouchra Jarrar would definitely be our pick for The Sisters Pinot Noir. I mean this actress has multi tasking down to a fine art in Orphan Black, where she plays no less that eight clone versions of herself. She manages to pull off stylish in a relaxed fashion.
Christina Hendricks In Naeem Khan we think is deserving of our luscious Pinot Rosé. She is one classy lady with an exceptional rosy complexion and curves in all the right places. We loved her in Mad Men as the sassy yet sexy Joan Holloway Harris.
Amy Poehler is beautiful in a simple yet sophisticated Michael Kors dress. We most definitely think she would enjoy our Sauvignon Blanc. We think it would complement her zest for life, her intelligence and humour. Plus we know in our hearts that inside she is always jumping for joy. We can’t wait to see her and her BFF Tina Fey reunite in their new film Sisters!
Claire Danes in her stunning mauve sequined Prada gown is the epitome of cool, calm and collected. She just stepped off a plane for goodness sake! We think she would really enjoy kicking back after a day on the set of Homeland with our Pinot Gris. We can’t wait for season five to return to our screens in October.
And finally, without a shadow of doubt, we would have to send a bottle of our Bubbles to Uzo Aduba who won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Orange is the New Black. But mainly because her acceptance speech was the best of the night. It completely embodied jubilance, gratefulness, and raw emotion and she has every reason to celebrate.
If you want to check out all the fashion on the night then the Huffington Post has a great round up. If you’re interested in knowing the full list of winners, then head on over to the NZ Herald website.
